Abstract:
The annual growth in demand for renewable energy sources and the recycling of solid agroindustrial waste have driven research into thermochemical pathways capable of utilizing residual biomass to generate potential energy sources and biofuels for the future. In this context, the process of biomass gasification followed by reforming reactions has significant potential for obtaining hydrogen-rich synthesis gas (syngas). This syngas can be utilized both as a fuel and as a gas for hydroprocessing and the synthesis of various chemical compounds.
