Awards were given for three papers each, in the categories of Undergraduate, Master and Ph.D. In the latter case, which was called “Embraer Awards”, the IPT researcher Vitor Luiz Reis got the third place with the paper Computational Study for Design of the Gas Gun Apparatus to Impact Tests on Composite Materials. He is studying at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica/ITA, and his advisor is Prof. Mauricio Donadon.
Two other papers were presented by the researchers Sergio Luiz Nascimento Júnior and Wellington Lombardo Nunes de Mello. They are, respectively, Morphologic Analysis and Mechanical Performance of Recycled Carbon Fiber Composites, which is part of his Master degree being pursued at ITA, also under Prof. Donadon, and Design, Manufacturing and Testing of a Horizontal Stabilizer in Composite Material, which presents results from a project done with Embraer in the lab.
