Abstract:

Evapotranspiration (ET) modeling was performed by the socalled SAFER algorithm (Surface Algorithm for Evapotranspiration Retrieving) with satellite images of Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 of the same day (November 26, 2016) in Southeastern Brazil, evaluating whether there were significant differences between those sources of radiometric data. The surface albedo ranged from 0,12 to 0,29. NDVI ranged from -0,43 to 0,85. Evapotranspiration reached 4.7 mm and a surface temperature varying between 300 and 345 K. Evapotranspiration reached up to 4.7 mm and the surface temperature varied between 300 and 345 K. There was no significant difference between the use of Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8 for modeling the superficial albedo nor between the use of the thermal band and the residual method with Landsat-8 reflectances, but there was for NDVI, evapotranspiration and other cases of surface temperature.
