Abstract:
Magnetic quantities, such as field strength and magnetic induction DC and AC did not have traceability in Brazil until recently. The IPT acquired and developed equipment and procedures to get traceability directly through primary standards based on the phenomenon of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). The accreditation process, submitted to the Coordenação Geral de Acreditação do Inmetro, was finished in May 2017 making the LME/IPT a pioneer in the Brazilian Network of Calibration (RBC) for services of magnetism-related calibration.
