Corrosion by combustion gases due to sulfuric acid condensation

The corrosion caused by sulfuric acid deposition in heat exchangers requires special attention due to the temperature reduction of combustion gases, for economical reasons, that provokes an increasing of sulfuric acid deposition. So, it is necessary to control or decrease this acid deposition. This work presents some ways to minimize the corrosion caused by sulfuric acid. Besides, four examples of failures will be presented.
