Abstract:
The characterization of phosphate layers can be made by different methods, some of them involving expensive and refined techniques. In practice, it is possible to determine some properties of these layers of relatively simple manner. Parameters such roughness, the grip, and mainly the mass of phosphate per area are important both for the layers to be employed as a substrate for paint, as those intended for mechanical deformation.
