Evaluation of train performance

Compartilhe:
IPT develops tests for the evaluation of cargo and passenger train performance, aiming to maximize cargo volume and traffic safety criteria. IPT also does instrumentation work on rolling stock, developing and using advanced techniques for monitoring signals and data acquisition systems. It also provides support for research and development projects in the metro-railroad area, e.g., simulation of vehicle dynamics, instrumented axles, dynamometric coupling, and equipment for measuring stresses on the rail line and laboratory car.

The Institute has laboratory competencies for the development of dynamic fatigue tests on metro-railroad components such as trucks, truck crossbars, truck sides, brake triangles, springs, couplings, steel sleepers, suspension elements, axles and brake parts, with a view to qualifying products for operators of cargo and passenger transportation.
