Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar a atuação da Biblioteca do Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas do Estado de São Paulo (IPT), formalmente denominada Gerência de Gestão da Informação Tecnológica e Bibliográfica (GITEB). A biblioteca é responsável por apoiar as atividades de pesquisa, desenvolvimento tecnológico, inovação e ensino, oferecendo um acervo físico e digital altamente especializado. Abstract:
This article aims to present the role of the Library of the Institute for Technological Research of the State of São Paulo (IPT), formally known as the Technological and Bibliographic Information Management Division (GITEB). The library is responsible for supporting research, technological development, innovation, and teaching activities by providing a highly specialized physical and digital collection. The study describes the characteristics of the collection, its organization, the tools for information access and management, as well as the digital preservation strategies adopted. By highlighting the relevance of this informational infrastructure, the text underscores its fundamental role in consolidating institutional memory and disseminating scientific and technological knowledge.
