IPT performs microbiological analyses with a view to ensuring product quality and complying with the requirements of inspection agencies, as well as the domestic and international markets, and to contribute to the protection of consumer health.
These analyses include the detection and quantification of contaminants, as well as research on pathogenic microorganisms in different products (water, soil, paper, cosmetics, gloves, pharmaceutical raw materials and medical and hospital products). IPT contributes to the monitoring of biocorrosion by means of microbiological analysis on samples of residues, biocoupons and waters associated mainly with the oil industry.
In compliance with ANVISA (Resolution RE 176 of 24 Oct 2000), IPT also monitors the microbiological quality of air in different air-conditioned environments (buildings, aircraft, vehicles and trains, among others).
