Influência de nano reservatório de bactericida no desempenho de revestimentos para controle de processos de corrosão

Abstract:

Equipment storage and transportation of petroleum and its derivatives often have corrosion problems that may be related to the presence of microorganisms (MIC) mainly sulfatereducing bacteria and iron bacteria. The control of this corrosion process involves permanent injection of biocides in oil storage tanks, besides the application of cathodic protection systems and use of conventional coatings. In this study, nano particles bactericidal effect have been incorporated in three types of coatings (FBE, liquid epoxy and PEHD) in order to control biofilm formation and consequently the microbiological corrosion processes. To evaluate the bactericidal efficiency, two methods were adopted: Quantification analysis of Sulphate-reducing Bacteria and Iron Bacteria and analysis by fluorescence method using the laser confocal microscope.
