Nanoencapsulation of solid hydrophobic actives: influence of polymeric blends in the formation of shell nanocapsule

Abstract:

Polymeric nanoparticles have been used for topical administration due to their stability promoted by the rigid matrix. This work studied the influence of polymeric blends in the formation of shell nanoparticle as well as in the encapsulation efficiency of hydrophobic active. It were developed five colloidal suspension using different proportion of polycaprolactone (PCL) and pluronic F®127. The particle size of these samples varied between 205.18 to 277.90 nm. It was observed that the increased in amount of PCL and the reduction of Pluronic® F127 promoted a better encapsulation of the model of hydrophobic active. The samples with more amount of PCL e less amount of Pluronic® F127 presented a release lower than the free active.
