Abstract:
This paper presents the Municipal Plan for Risk Reduction of Santos, SP and its contribution to urban planning. The work was based on the mapping of landslide risk areas of precarious inhabitation elaborated in 2004 and in reviewed in 2012. The activities were executed from geological surface investigation, in order to identify the evidences of instability on the surface, related to landslide risks. From these investigations, 22 risk areas were mapped, and divided in sectors of four risk degrees (R1 – Low, R2 – Medium, R3 – High e R4 – Very High). It was selected the alternatives that can be implemented in order to control and/or reduce risk, their’s respective
cost / budget of interventions, and defined the priority areas for the interventions. The result of Municipal Plan for Risk Reduction and is supposed to be used in the elaboration of Municipal Director Plan of Santos
