Abstract:
In this work, the results of atmospheric corrosion tests of decorative chromium plating on brass and steel with different intermediate nickel coating thicknesses are reported. The tests were conducted indoors (dry and wet) and external atmospheres with different degree of pollution. The obtained results will be used as a basis for the establishment of Brazilian specifications of these coatings for different applications.
