Abstract:
The phosphated layers are widely used in various applications, but do not perform well against corrosion, by itself. The protection against corrosion becomes effective when applied on the phosphate layers further post treatment, such as application of oil, grease or paint/varnish. The article deals with the corrosion resistance and absorption of oils and greases by phosphatized layers.
