Abstract
This work focuses on the mechanical properties (hardness, mechanical strength and ductility) of nickel coatings obtained by electrodeposition with Watts type baths. It discusses the influence of operational conditions and the bath composition and presents several examples. This work also discusses the effect of heat treatment on the nickel coating characteristics.
