IPT evaluates different machinery that uses combustion, gasification and heat exchange, such as steam generators, boilers and industrial furnaces, recommending solutions for improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions of atmospheric pollutants. The Institute’s work includes monitoring process parameters and performing mass and energy balances, as well as preparing diagnoses and recommendations.
IPT’s team analyses the client’s production plant, characterizes the current situation, and evaluates implementable improvements. Wherever possible, IPT undertakes interventions on the equipment to adjust it for greater energy efficiency and lower atmospheric pollutant emissions. In the case of gasification equipment, an analysis of its use compared with other energy options is included.
