Characterization and performance of geotextiles

Compartilhe:
Geotextiles are a class of materials that include fabrics, technical textiles and non-woven fabrics which serve a variety of functions such as support, and surface and subsurface drainage and separation. They are used in a variety of applications, including the construction of buildings, bridges, dams, roads and highways, as well as for embankment shoring and in coastal maritime engineering subprojects.

The materials used in these applications require specific physicochemical characteristics for which IPT offers characterization tests and performance evaluations based on national and international standards to verify compliance to required specifications. In the absence of applicable technical standards, methodologies can be developed based on studies of the client’s specific needs and subject to his agreement.
