Abstract
The analysis of potential and emerging fragility of a given area aims at understanding of natural and anthropogenic factors from a geomorphological perspective. In this work, such analysis was used to characterize a risk area to landslides. Brigadeiro Tobias neighborhood is featured in mass movement occurrences in Sorocaba and was mapped by following these precepts to make it possible delimitation of fragile areas to the occupancy, as well as determination of the agents responsible for deflagration such movements.
