Abstract:
In the state of São Paulo, the Preventive Civil Defense Plan (PPDC) for landslides has been put into operation during the rainy periods since 1988/1989. This plan has shown good results while protecting lives and material assets, as well as helping to build municipal civilian defenses. There are training courses for municipal teams and the general population, but an instrument was needed to allow the user constant and easy access to the PPDC system. This article presents the video-lesson PPDC, elaborated by the Institute of Technological Research (IPT) that intends to be this instrument.
