Abstract:
The objective of this study is to analyze the electromagnetic environment of the downtown area of Rio de Janeiro’s capital, before the Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) was routed. Electromagnetic field levels were measured and verified against proposed limits, concerning electromagnetic immunity of LRV. The results show that all measured places through the tramways do not pose any EMC threat, assuming that all equipment has conformity with the proper EMC applicable standard.
