Abstract:
Dynamic Capacities (CD) are directly related to organizational success as they represent strategic high-level capabilities responsible for articulation and creation of organizational processes routines. The adoption, implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System (EMS) provides a framework centered on innovation management routines, processes, skills and capabilities, thus being a source of DC and innovation. The study aims to map and describe the DC that supports the adoption and maintenance of an EMS in Military Organization. To answer the research question a qualitative methodology was adopted through a single case study. The techniques of data collection were interviews, document analysis, direct and participatory observation. After analyzing the data identified nine Dynamic Capabilities (continued optimization of the management and control of results, optimizing the use of water and energy, sustainable culture, periodic auditing, continuous employees training; continuing training of environmental manager; selection of the service provider; selection of the cooperative, and continued renewal of environmental management practices) involved in the adoption and maintenance of the EMS of the Military Organization.
