Abstract:
The calibration of magnetic field transducers uses electromagnets with cores of ferromagnetic material to generate high intensity fields. In this case the calibration procedure is done by direct comparison with a standard meter. The homogeneity and stability of field affect the uncertainty of the process, so the measurement of field gradient is required to estimate these levels of uncertainty.
