Uncertainty estimation in the calibration of virtual instrumentation

Abstract:

This work presents a study carried out with hundreds of virtual instrumentation boards that were tested by the laboratory of electrical metrology at IPT in the last 4 years. An uncertainty component of type A was estimated based on the historical data in this calibrations, it could combined with other sources of uncertainty to be used in expression of uncertainty in measurement, according to ISO GUM.
