Abstract:
X-Ray Computed Tomography technique was employed to characterize the inner structures from iron ore pellets during their production process. The present paper analyzes the selection of suitable machine parameters and the handling of the resultant 3D point clouds data. Changes in pellets inner structure along the production stages are also presented and briefly discussed.
