Abstract:
Fire-safety-performance evaluation is discussed based on the analysis of the construction system design, on questions associated with the definition of tests and specimens, on the analysis of the
results obtained in tests and on the evaluation of project related aspects. This paper describes the technical approach used in the performance evaluation of fire-protection building materials and
systems, with the aim at evaluating the importance of fully adopting the requirements and criteria set for fire safety standards and regulations.
