Abstract:
Generate contributions for the betterment of ABNT NBR 15575, which shows inconsistencies in the methods of assessing the thermal performance of buildings, especially in Bioclimatic Zone 8. Was performed to evaluate the thermal performance of a dwelling by two methods present in the standard, aiming highlight its limitations and indicate mechanisms to solve problems encontrados.Identificou that capacity limits and thermal transmittance need to be revised; noted also that there is need to improve the climatic zoning. Contributions / Originality: suggested subdivision of bioclimatic zone 8, emphasizing the thermal amplitude and forecast the use of thermal insulation in roof
