Abstract:
Analytical calibration curves are important sources of uncertainty in the results of measurements in chemistry. Uncertainty estimates generally disregard the uncertainties inherited from the standards used to construct the curves mainly due to mathematical diffi culties. This paper presents an investigation of the infl uence of the uncertainties of the standards on the uncertainty of calibration curves using the simulation by the Monte Carlo method applied to a classic example in literature.
