Studies for use of groundwater

Compartilhe:
Groundwater is an excellent alternative source for small communities located in rural areas of states and municipalities, or even in urban centers or built-up areas. Large cities such as Ribeirão Preto and São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, use this resource to supply their residents.

IPT develops hydrogeological studies for the use of groundwater using tubular wells, and offers technological support to individual consumers, farms, homes, condominiums, industrial and commercial establishments, and urban settlements. These studies evaluate the potentiality of each area, using techniques for physical environment reconnaissance and field exploration using geophysical methods, listings of wells, and soundings to locate groundwater. When necessary, hydrodynamic conditions are simulated using mathematical modeling techniques.

Such studies are also important to supply hydrogeological information for land use and occupation plans, generating parameters and characteristics of aquifers to shed light on possible interrelationships between underground water sources and land use and occupation in its different forms, including civil engineering works and mining activities.
