Colorfastness in textiles refers to the resistance to different agents to which these materials may be exposed during their production and subsequent use. IPT performs tests for different types of colorfastness, based on the ISO 105 series standards, subjecting the material to physicochemical treatments or weathering, followed by visual or instrumented evaluations.
The Institute also conducts evaluations to determine the cause of stains, fading, and non-uniform dyeing in textiles and clothing.
