Characterization, evaluation and development of packaging papers

Compartilhe:

Many people consider that the demand for packaging papers is linked to economic growth and acts as a “thermometer” of the economy. The use of recycled fiber in the production of packaging and the fact that paper packaging is recyclable enhances the importance of this type of paper.

IPT characterizes packaging papers and their raw materials, develops and validates test methodologies and draws up specifications.

The Institute also prepares and evaluates formulations for packaging papers, involving fillers, additives and fiber mixes, recycled or virgin. These formulations are developed for different purposes, but are normally aimed at improving the suitability of paper, paperboard and corrugated board to the end uses of the packaging or to increase its environmental sustainability.
