Reproduction, evaluation and characterization of staining caused by deodorant cotton knits and treated in laundry process

Abstract:

This study aimed to reproduction, evaluation and characterization of staining caused by antiperspirant deodorant, sweat and washing products in cotton shirts, We selected two groups of studies with individuals likely to get spots in the underarm area. Individuals made use of deodorant with and without scent and shirts for a period of a time of 11 days. The stained shirts were evaluated by spectrophotometry (colorimeter), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive Analysis (EDS), conductivity and effusivity and Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES) The analyzed show that the shirts of all study participants had visible color change in the underarm area.
