The number of special structural elements, such as poles and towers, grows continually in large urban centers, increasing the need for maintenance and safety evaluations.
For pathologies related to the strength, service and durability limit states – fissures, cracks, debonding and degradation of materials, dislocations, vibrations, etc. – IPT has laboratory and technical capabilities to perform experimental and theoretical analyses, static and dynamic, to diagnose anomalies and evaluate the structural safety levels of the construction or of the inconvenience to users, with resulting recommendations and project guidelines for repair or reinforcement of the building. Analyses and simulations of compressive, tensile and flexural stresses on different elements are carried out routinely by the Institute.
