Abstract

The influence of different contaminants in nickel baths is discussed in this paper, highlighting the importance of these agents on the quality of deposits and in the efficiency of the process of electroplating nickel. The following types of contaminants are treated: solid particles; metal ions; ammonium nitrate ions; silicates; phosphates and organic compounds (including oils and greases).
