Studies of pathologies in wall overlays of buildings

Pathological phenomena that occur in wall overlays require a diligent search for the causes, which may seem innocuous, in order to correctly prescribe effective actions for their recovery. To identify a pathological phenomenon, IPT makes visual inspections, collects samples on site and performs laboratory tests, as the case may require. IPT also characterizes existing overlays, such as mortar, ceramics, stone, textures and paints. This set of activities enables the identification of causes (such as project deficiencies, use of inadequate materials and faulty application) and the suggestion of solutions for the area to be repaired. Results are expressed in technical reports and opinions recognized for their technical merit.
